1 pound bulk Italian sausage or ground meat (cooked and drained)
2 jars Barilla Marinara Sauce
1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano, grated
2 eggs, lightly beaten
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat and Prepare Noodles
Set in the oven to 375°F (190°C) and cook the noodles for 4 minutes a. Wash with cold water and drain in a basin until required later or next day.
Step 2: Create the Meat Sauce
In a large saucepan mix the sausage or ground beef with 1 1/2 jars of Barilla marinara sauce. Allow it to cook for 5 minutes to allow the flavors infuse.
Step 3: Mix the Cheese Layer
Use ricotta, 3 1/2 cups of mozzarella, Parmigiano-Reggiano and eggs to create a smooth batter for this dish.
Step 4: Assemble the Layers
To this pan grease the bottom and spread a thin layer of marinara sauce. Then,depending on the type of pasta used, it is placed into the sauce, then the cheese mixture and lastly the meat sauce is added. Repeat the layers for a fully stacked Barilla Lasagna Recipe.
